AppShare Freebie – First Blog

appency appshare

Hello World!

For the past 6 years, I have been focused on WordPress development. What started as a hobby in the first year, became my first small business for local clients in the Netherlands. I enjoyed developing custom plugins/themes and e-commerce solutions that were not broadly available at that time and gave me tremendous experience in PHP, HTML and CSS.
Fast forward to early 2014, I stumbled upon a beautiful new framework that used JavaScript instead of PHP and I fell in love with the whole package, the design principles, the architecture and the endless possibilities to create mobile solutions. This was the Ionic framework. The starting point for me became JavaScript immediately and I decided to dedicate my time in the famous and essential web programming language.

2017: Apps, WordPress and Apppresser

After working for Capgemini as a pre-sales developer for a year and running my own health app company for a year, I decided to expand my horizon. Thus I stumbled upon the idea of creating apps for other businesses on my own. I enjoy building custom solutions for all types of businesses and seeing their vision come to life, and even starting the first ever marketplace for Apppresser users. This is how Appency was founded, something I have been doing for years for employers. But now for a wider audience and independent.

Now…Let’s dive into the good stuff: AppShare Freebie

I love giving things away and helping people whenever I have time, not everything is about money, and it shouldn’t.
Many Apppresser users liked the idea of redirecting visitors of shared posts and pages to the App Store and Play Store instead of the WP website. I looked at the AppShare plugin and saw the possibility in the SocialShare.js file. 1) Replace the content of the SocialShare.js file, which is located in your AppShare plugin folder, with the below code and 2) change the app stores URL’s to your own App Stores URL’s.
